• What are the graphical enhancements on PlayStation 5?

  • On base PS5, you will have the option to select between two graphical settings with an additional 40FPS mode coming in a later patch. At launch, you can choose between: 

    • Performance: 1440p/Target 60FPS
    • Quality: Native 4K/ Target 30FPS

    The base PS5 rendering settings are the equivalent of "highest" on the PC version of Days Gone and is taking advantage of native resolution rendering instead of PlayStation®4’s use of checkerboard rendering. 

    On PS5 Pro, you will have the option to select between three graphical settings with an additional 40FPS mode coming in a later patch. At launch you can choose between: 

    • Performance: 1800p/Target 60FPS
    • Quality: 2880p/Target 30FPS
    • Enhanced: 1584p/Target 60 FPS with PSSR 

    PS5 Pro Quality will supersample down from above 4K. 

    All modes for both PS5 and PS5 Pro output at 4K.

• What are the world graphical improvements?
  • New Atmospheric/Sky simulation using ozone and spectral light simulation
    • Improves overall color tone and produces more accurate light intensities for the sky and sunlight
  • Significantly darker night time
  • Improved screen space indirect lighting and ambient occlusion effects
  • Double shadowmap resolution
• Are there improved loading times?
  • Yes. Loading times have greatly decreased from PlayStation 4.
• Can I transfer my save from PlayStation 4 to the Remaster?
  • Yes, you can import your save data once you get to the Main Menu of Days Gone Remastered where you will see an option labeled, "Import your PS4 Save".
• Are there new Trophies added to Days Gone Remastered?
  • Yes, you can earn 6 new Trophies in the Remastered trophy pack on top of the 61 total Trophies already in the base game.
• Will I earn a new PlayStation 5 Platinum trophy if I import my save?
  • Yes. Upon importing your save in Days Gone Remastered, you will automatically earn the Platinum trophy if you earned it on PS4. If you choose to earn the Platinum organically again, do not import your save.
• I've seen there are increased horde sizes in Days Gone Remastered. Does that apply to the Story?
  • No, increased horde sizes are exclusive to the new mode Horde Assault.
• Can I play Horde Assault immediately upon boot?
  • Yes, you can play Horde Assault immediately. You do not need a previous save file nor do you have to progress in the Story to play it.
• Is New Game+ an option?
  • Yes, Days Gone Remastered includes New Game+ at launch. If you import your PS4 save data from a completed playthrough, you can start a NG+ run on PS5 immediately.
